Aotearoa Sleep Co. Warranty Policy

At Aotearoa Sleep Co., we take pride in crafting quality products, and we want you to rest easy knowing your purchase is protected. Our warranty policy ensures that you can sleep soundly with the knowledge that your mattress and bed base are backed by our commitment to excellence.

- Warranty Coverage

  • Awhi Mattresses and Bed Bases: 5-Year Limited Warranty
  • Other Mattresses: 10-Year Limited Warranty

This warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship under normal use from the date of purchase and applies only to the original purchaser.

- What is Covered

  • Manufacturing Defects: Defects in materials such as foam, springs, or stitching that affect the performance of the mattress or base.
  • Structural Integrity: Sagging or permanent indentations greater than 50mm, provided the mattress has been supported correctly.

- What is Not Covered

  • Normal Wear and Tear: Gradual changes in comfort, minor body impressions less than 50mm, or normal softening of materials over time.
  • Improper Use: Damage caused by folding, bending, or using an inadequate or unsupportive base.
  • Comfort Preferences: Changes in personal comfort preferences (e.g., firmness) that occur after use.
  • Spills or Stains: Any damage caused by liquids or stains, including those from not using a mattress protector.

- Conditions for Warranty

To keep your warranty valid, please ensure:

  • Your mattress is used on a solid, supportive foundation such as a slatted or platform base.
  • You rotate your mattress regularly to promote even wear and maintain comfort.
  • The mattress is kept clean, hygienic, and free of damage caused by neglect or misuse.

- Making a Warranty Claim

To file a warranty claim, please contact us at [insert contact information]. You will need to provide your proof of purchase, and we may request photos or further details to assess the issue. In some cases, we may need to inspect the mattress or base in person.

If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, Aotearoa Sleep Co. will, at our discretion, either repair or replace the item. Transportation costs may apply, but if the defect is verified, we will reimburse these costs.

- Exclusions

  • Mattresses and bases used in unsanitary conditions, without a mattress protector, or where soiling, mold, or stains are present.
  • Damage resulting from attempts to modify or repair the mattress by unauthorized persons.
  • Commercial use of the mattress or base (e.g., in hotels or rental properties) unless specifically agreed upon in writing.

- Additional Notes

Please retain your purchase receipt and avoid removing labels or tags from your mattress or base, as they contain important warranty information. This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and does not limit your statutory rights.
