What to Expect
We prepare all products for shipping within 3 to 7 working days. Delivery timeframes, outlined below, are additional and begin once your order is ready to ship. We will keep you informed throughout the process. If you have urgent requirements, please contact us by phone or email info@aotearoasleepco.co.nz, and we will assist you when possible.
Where We Deliver
We ship to all regions of New Zealand, including cities, towns, and rural areas. We cannot deliver to the Chatham Islands or offer international shipping. We do not ship to P.O. boxes.
Shipping Costs
Shipping fees are based on your delivery location and order size. The exact cost will be shown at checkout before you complete your payment.
Delivery Timeframes
After the 3 to 7 working day preparation period, estimated delivery times are:
- Cities and major towns: 3 to 15 business days
- Rural areas: 10 to 15 business days
These are estimates, and unexpected delays (such as weather or courier issues) may occur. We will notify you promptly if there is a significant delay.
Delivery Process
- Check Your Address: Ensure your shipping details are correct at checkout. Incorrect addresses may lead to redelivery fees.
- Scheduling: We will contact you to confirm a suitable delivery date. Contact us in advance if you need to reschedule to avoid extra fees.
- Receiving Your Order: Deliveries are made to ground-floor entrances unless we agree on special arrangements. Someone must be available to accept the shipment.
Inspection Upon Delivery
Inspect your items for visible damage before accepting delivery. If you notice any damage:
- Take photos or videos immediately.
- Do not sign the delivery receipt if damage is evident, as this may affect claims for transit damage.
- Contact us within 48 hours via email info@aotearoasleepco.co.nz or phone to report the issue.
Failed or Missed Deliveries
If a delivery attempt fails due to an incorrect address or no one being available, a redelivery fee may apply. Contact us in advance to reschedule your delivery and avoid fees.
Rural and Special Deliveries
Deliveries to remote areas or properties with special access (such as farms or gated communities) may incur extra fees. We often partner with local New Zealand couriers to ensure reliable service in these areas.
Customer-Arranged Pickup or Delivery
You may arrange your own pickup or delivery. Contact us before ordering to confirm details, such as pickup location and packaging requirements. For pickups, we will notify you when your order is ready to collect. If you arrange your own shipping or pickup, we are not responsible for any damage or loss once the product is handed over to you or your chosen courier.
