100-Night Mattress Trial

At Aotearoa Sleep Co., we believe that selecting the right mattress is an important step toward better rest. That is why we provide a 100-night trial on eligible mattresses, giving you the opportunity to sleep on your new mattress in your own environment and decide if it is the right match for you. The trial begins on the day your mattress is delivered.

We recommend allowing your body a minimum of 30 nights to adjust to the feel of your new mattress. If, after this period, you feel it is not suitable, you may choose to return it or exchange it one time per purchase. This trial is not intended as a temporary use arrangement, but as a fair and supportive way to help you make a confident decision.

Conditions of Trial

To qualify for a return or exchange under the trial policy, the following conditions must be met:

  • The mattress must be used for at least 30 nights to allow your body time to adjust.
  • A mattress protector must be used at all times to keep the mattress in clean and hygienic condition.
  • The mattress must be placed on a suitable and supportive base.
  • The trial is valid only for the original purchaser and must be used in a residential setting.
  • The trial policy allows for one return or exchange per mattress purchase per household.
  • All returns or exchanges must be requested and completed within the 100-night window.

Eligible Mattresses for Trial

  • All New Zealand made mattresses purchased through Aotearoa Sleep Co.
  • Trial does not apply to accessories, bed bases, or bespoke/custom-designed mattresses.

Trial Exclusions and Limitations

Returns or exchanges will not be accepted if:

  • The mattress is damaged, stained, soiled, or in unsanitary condition.
  • The mattress shows signs of misuse, including improper base support, folding, bending, or incorrect storage.
  • Returns or exchanges based solely on comfort preferences are not accepted within the first 30 nights of use.
  • The mattress has been used in a commercial or rental setting (hotels, Airbnb, etc.) unless pre-approved in writing.

Return or Exchange Process

To begin a return or exchange:

  • Email us at info@aotearoasleepco.co.nz with your order number and clear photos of the mattress in its current condition.
  • If your return or exchange request is approved, you will be responsible for arranging and covering the cost of shipping the mattress back to us. Alternatively, we can assist with arranging the return shipping, and the cost will be charged to you.
  • If you have requested an exchange, you will also be responsible for the cost of shipping the new mattress to you.
  • We will guide you through the process and provide the most suitable options based on your location.

Refunds and Final Approval

  • Refunds are processed to your original payment method after confirmation of a qualifying return.
  • Aotearoa Sleep Co. reserves the right to inspect the mattress or request evidence of its condition before issuing a refund.
  • If necessary, fees may be deducted for transport, inspection, or hygiene restoration.

This trial is intended to give you peace of mind when buying online. It is not a free rental service. Aotearoa Sleep Co. reserves the right to:

  • Decline any return or exchange if the policy is being misused.
  • Refuse requests that do not meet the terms and conditions listed above.
